The 33kV 10 kA Lighting Arrestor is used for the protection of the equipment at the substations against travelling waves, such type of device is called lightning arrester or surge diverter. In other words, lightning arrester diverts the abnormal high voltage to the ground without affecting the continuity of supply. It is connected between the line and earth, i.e., in parallel with the equipment to be protected at the substation.
Our lightning arresters can handle big surges, like lightning, by passing them harmlessly to ground. A lightning rod acts as a cone of protection that has a ground radius approximately, equal to its height above the ground. Lightning arrestors units will reduce problems due to lightning, power surges, and spike to a great extent. This is not a very expensive product but highly recommended for every construction. It eliminates human and property loss.

The Polymer LA Surge Lightning Arrester for distribution system has been developed by using silicone rubber. The new type of silicon rubber was examined by the accelerated weathering test and applied to the shed material of the polymeric surge Arrester, The test confirmed that the silicone rubber had and excellent weather resistance and high water repellency during the long term weathering tests, the polymeric surge Arrester with the new type of silicone rubber showed a high performance at the pressure relief tests according IEC60099-4(1991).
